TRUS'ME - WORKING NIGHTS

Trusme's debut LP finally drops, and we have been loving it here at Piccadilly HQ. Since his first EP dropped we knew something special was afoot, and here are the fruits of the last two years labour. From the outset it is easy to spot the influences, mainly detroit house music, 70's soul, disco, jazz and funk. So what you get here is a double album of late night soul edged dance music deftly created from snippets and sections of long forgotten gems which are twisted and turned into modern day masterpieces for the sweaty dancefloor on a Saturday night. Top stuff and putting Manchester back on the map once again.

This 9 tracks (8 1/2...) set features three of the hard to find Love4Music black label 12"s that shot Trusme to notoriety in early 2007. Five previously unreleased gems sit alongside firm favourites such as 'W.A.R.', 'At the Disco' and a new version of the house behemoth 'Nards' (on the 'Browns' 12"), entitled 'Narda'. Manchester has their own Moodymann!! Recommended!
