"Frozen Goust" is a minimalist deep and disconcerting adventure. The progress in this album is illusory, and therefore there is no need to have ever more advanced and complex systems of composing, that the purpose of minimalist music is repose, rather than "western" style development, and that minimalism embodies more "eastern" values of meditation, trance and concentration.
Jorge Savoretti, also known as George S, is from Rosario, Argentina. He started djing in 1996, and he held several residencies at clubs in Rosario by 1999. His 2005 debut release was on Igloo, the netlabel from Buenos Aires. since then, Jorge Savoretti went on to release on labels like Esperanza, Telegraph and others.
This album is a complete trip. Igloo never fails to dissapoint. Very high quality music right here! Enjoy.

RICARDO VILLALOBOS / SEI ES DRUM
Ricardo Villalobos (chilean Dj and producer) with his first 3x12inch production being recording artist and actual record label programmer. SED might be a one time venture working completely solo, but one thing can be already said: Its one to remember. 4 Tracks right of his recent Fabric Compilation plus 3 new Bonus Tracks. Each Recording (all exceed the 10 minutes) stands uniquely on its own but also works yet again in a subtle context with all other tracks. An Artistic statement as well as pure Dancefloor Mayhem! One of the strongest "Packages" that i received in a long time. Recommended tracks: "Andruic & Japan", "Primer Encuentro Latinoamericano", "Baila sin Petit" (a cover of "Bailen sin Cesar" of "31 Minutos", chilean TV show), and "Farenzer House".

Yelle is young and pretty; also a very explosive character entering the more rigid French pop scene. This stage freak with a unique flow is fully driving the new non-aggressive girl power scene, focusing on delivering kick-ass lyrics. She also doesn’t take herself seriously and is refreshingly laidback, especially when she proudly covers the song “A cause des garcons” (“What we do for boys”) a French 80s anthem, so thrilling and amusing, that it looks like a sure hit for the charts this summer. Let’s all sing along to the lyrics: (“What we do for boys, we wear stockings, we fight each other, boys make us worry, we cry all the time, that’s what we do for boys”….)
Artist: V.A Title: Exclusive JetSet Vol. 04 Released: Nov. 2007 Format: Unmixed Audio CD Label: Jetset Records Genre: Deep House, Lo-Fi, Downtempo
V.A / EXCLUSIVE JETSET VOL. 04
Exclusive JetSet Vol. 04 it's an exquisite cd series of deep house music which fuses elements of Chicago house, 80's soul, jazz-funk and Detroit techno. The Jazz influences are most frequently brought out by chords using more complex than simple triads (7ths, 9ths, 13ths, suspensions, alterations) which are held for many bars, which give the tracks a slightly dissonant feel. The use of vocals is also more common in deep house than in many other forms of this album. The music often said to be finished always seems to come back, time and time again! Its because of those wicked, deep basslines, and melodic, yet atmospheric jazz chords that you always find with this style of music. This music hasn't passed its sell by date yet! Well that's my theory onto the beginnings of this Sophisticated Chill House Selection.

Artist: Billie Holiday Title: Remixed & Reimagined Released: Nov. 2007 Format: Unmixed Audio CD Label: Sony Legacy Genre: Trip Hop, Lo-Fi, Nu Jazz
BILLIE HOLIDAY / REMIXED & REIMAGINED
Remix collections generally either treat the source material as a jumping-off point for wild, barely relevant improvisations, or they present the songs more or less as they've always been, with maybe a new beat and some synthesizer accents. The Billie Holiday remix project Remixed & Reimagined splits the difference. Swingsett & Takuya's album-opening version of "I Hear Music" sets the tone, sounding like an entirely new pop-jazz workout, with Holiday's vocals merely floating through, almost like a sample. The majority of R&R's tracks pull Holiday's recordings apart and interject them into reasonably effective Lounge/electronic music, like a distant transmission causing interference. Nothing here sounds as natural or as heartfelt as Holiday's best work, though it's all—conceptually at least—"cool."
