"House music is house music. Some people are trying to mark us down as these 40-year-olds who shouldn't be playing records, but I always say to people: 'Why do you think I'm on top of my game at the moment? I must be doing something right. Why are people still booking me?' Intelligent house is a ridiculous term - but it could apply to some of the really boring stuff that is full of sax solos. It's almost as bad as saying 'intelligent drum 'n' bass' which has racist undertones: 'We're not calling it jungle any more 'cos that's what inner city black kids listen to. We're going to call it drum 'n' bass now.' What a load of crap..."
