CAROLA PISARUTO / DELLE PALME (2008)

Carola was born in Rome and at the tender age of eight transported to Naples, Italy. At eighteen she left home, traveled north and began hanging out in the world of dance music, which introduced her to electronic sounds. She was captivated. The sonority of these manipulated compositions opened the port to an enchanted voyage, delicately preparing for her debut. Her DJ carrier started in 1997, from that point on, Carola plunged in compulsively exploring and experiencing sounds inspiring her personal path. In 2002, she graduated in sound engineering and worked for studio productions in Rome and Milan.

Adjunct has selected two out a number of excellent tracks. Funky, sleek and beautifully produced pieces accompanied by yet another bizzarre PSB remix.

And after two years, one of the best nu jazz fusion bands to present his new record.
The Jazzinvaders started in 2005 as a project by Phil Martin and two members of the legendary Dutch jazz group The Houdini’s, Rolf Delfos and Erwin Hoorweg. They first started working together during a session at the famous Amsterdam Bimhuis, where Phil Martin blended his beats with the jazz sound of the Houdini’s. This resulted in the birth of Jazzinvaders, a mix of hardbop jazz with heavy bossa and latinjazz grooves.
